NBA Playoffs

I will have to say this year has had some of the best series' as a whole in recent memory. Well, so long as the Magic and Cavs keep going the way they are. CUH RUNCH! Don't know what to think about lakers vs nugs just yet. But think back to days off old, Bulls Celtics (best ever), Magic redeeming victory over the Celtics, Rockets Lakers going an epic yet unentertaining game 7, and my fav the mavs ending the Texas hold of boring basketball (the spurs). Crossing the old fingers for an awesome finals of Kobe/LeBron or maybe Kobe/Howard, but definatly not Mello/Howard, that just might be a little to much of the new kids.

I'm calling it

The Blackhawks will win their series tonight against the Canucks. My only bit of scientific process with this is that I will be watching the game at the local brewery where I watched the last one. The only sad part is there won't be an open mic night for our rowdy table antics interfear with. There was nothing more strange to see then in the middle of a cover of the Eagles "take it easy" the 4 of us erupt in cheers for a late game tying goal. Anyway, hawks win 3-1 and go to the conference finals for the first time in, well a long time.

Manny is out cus he can't get it up

Manny has been suspended for 50 games for a banned substance. Turns out the substance was for erectile dysfunction and not steroids. Apparently 13-0 at home doesn't help, or $23 million a year won't do the trick, or all the home runs and rbis's one could ask for. I'm just guessing a smokin' hot wife is not cutting the mustard. To bad this had to happen to Manny, he couldn't be a better guy.

p.s. I hope this isn't a new instance of manny being manny.

Favre?

Brett Favre? Really?

The Vikes?

I know its not official... yet, but come on.

Ill be the first to say I am a Favre fan... or should I say was. The good old days of the Packers of the late 90's and 08' should stay in tact. You know when hail mary's we happening left and right and when Antonio Freeman was catching ridiculous catches. Yeah. Thats what Im talking about.

But now a days Favre is hangin around like a guy that you didnt invite to the party, but you are kinda friends with him because he helped you move that one time and he good buds with your friend Jerry but he wearing a half buttoned up hawiian shirt and has had a few too many drinks and has started hitting on your wife... yeah, Hes kinda like that.

Once was in his prime, but lets at least let the Tervaris Jackson's and Shawn King's of this world have a chance. (Well... maybe not the Shawn Kings.) I mean, look at Pac Man Jones... wait bad example. Ok, look at Shawn Alexander... again, bad example. The point is that we should go out with the old and in with the new.

Lets hope Favre is fishin in Mississippi the season, or he'll be fishin for some wins the season.

Final Thoughts

Well, in game 1 of the Magic Celtis series, Orlando won. This has brought up a huge debate in my mind. Do you route for the team that beat you in the playoffs, or against them. On one hand If you go down to the champs after taking them to the limit, there is some consolation, yes? On the other hand you want the team that crushed your dreams to go down a fiery fiery fiery fiery crash. When the Cubs get swept in the NLDS every year, I want the diamondbacks or whom ever to lose. BUT, when the Bulls would lose to the Pistons before the glory days, I wanted them to win. I don't know how to lean on this subject. I'm guessing it's a case by case basis, or if the opponent was worthy, then you have your answer.

For right now, I want Dwight Howard and the Magic to treat the Celtics like Michael Scott treats Toby, with total disgust and contempt.

Bulls Celtics Game 7 Preview

The greatest tragedy is that I won't be able to watch it. If this game is anything close to the others the series well be the greatest of all time. Sad part is it's a first rounder and not a conference of finals. Still I'm looking forward to getting a million texts tonight as an update to what is happening.

Predictions: 1) Rando gets hit by Miller before the game starts. Reason, They pass each other during warm-up layups.

2) Joakim Noah is still ugly

3) Paul Peirce has trouble understanding explanation of a foul......no wait that is his normal facial expression.

4) Bulls win in double OT, and my dreams come true. As the words from Kevin Garnett "Anything is possible."

Here's to hoping that my next post is about the awesome time I have watching the highlights.

Cubs In-Game Update

Ted, I always look like you killed my kitten, Lilly jut had a perfect game ruined by a bad call at first. It was close, very very close, but come on. The ump is letting an awesome pitching performance be broken up by Cameron Maybin, who on earth is Cameron Maybin.
